Nice to hear from you! Yes, the internet is a great way of enabling people to share experience and create a positive community isn't it?
Have you joined Voices.com? They're a great source of help and advice (they're Voice Cat guy suggested the mic set up that I ended up buying). I became a paying member and the auditions I've succeeded with so far have already more than covered the cost of membership. I basically threw myself into heavily marketing myself via emails targeting all the major video production companies as well as gaming houses. LinkedIn's website is also great for networking and making contacts!
