I've gotta go with Michael Hollick who voiced Niko Bellic in GTA IV. A LOT of layered voice acting for one of the greatest games of all time. Pity he only got 100 grand for a game that grossed so much. A true blue collar VO hero.
Agreed. That was a stellar performance that we all should aspire for. I also have to give considerable nods to David Hayter for his ongoing tongue in cheek superspy work on the Metal Gear series, John DiMaggio for his work in the Gears of War series and the cast and writers of Left 4 Dead for the ongoing in game banter and one liners. All good stuff. I'm sure there are others...help out the thread guys!
I'll also throw a nod to Simon Templeman for the Legacy of Kain series. It occurred to me last night when I was playing Dragon Age: Origins and suspected his voice as one of the characters. Sure enough, and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed his work in the Kain series, especially the first game in the mid 90's when vg voice acting was still emerging from its laughable, "anybody can do it" infancy.
